Magical Mace

rare, requires attunement

A mace made of an ash shaft with a handle wrapped in well used leather and a flanged steel head. The shaft is inscribed with the word Conviction in flowing common script. When wielded by person of faith emits a radiant glow. The legend holds that this mace was once wielded by Vordai of Dalasia. Recovered from the catacombs below the Abbey of Niccyveus.

Currently in the possession of Mira.

In addition to normal mace stats, Conviction has the following magical properties when attuned:

  • You may choose to change the damage type of weapon to Radiant and get a +1 bonus to the damage roll.
  • You gain a +1 bonus to initiative rolls.
  • If you hit a fiend or undead, that creature takes an extra 2d6 radiant damage. If the target has 25 hit points or fewer after taking this damage, it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed. On successful save, the creature becomes frightened of you until the end of their next turn.
